Fast growing, acquisitive PLC offers excellent opportunity for an independently minded and flexible professional to join a core team as a Senior Group Internal Auditor.
With a broad range of business lines and national coverage, they can offer a diverse range of work and projects. Yes, there is the regulatory compliance, financial control and balance sheet reviews you would expect within their risk universe. But there is also operational controls, performing due diligence on potential acquisitions and getting involved in post- acquisition reviews. You will be joining a highly visible team that provides both an independent and influential service to senior management across the group.
You will be a qualified accountant who now has cut their career teeth on internal audit within a commercial organisation. You may have trained within one of the well known audit firms, or developed through the ranks of a large company, but either way you will have the ability to work independently and think on your feet. It will be likely you will be home based in the Yorkshire region, so you will need to be well organised, self-motivated and comfortable working in a less structured environment. An all-rounder with the ability to perform a wide range of internal audit engagements across a diverse group, you will also relish the opportunities to get involved in ad-hoc projects, due diligence and investigations.
Naturally you will have a high degree of IT literacy, excellent communication skills (oral and written), accomplished interpersonal/people management skills, effective organizational/multi-tasking skills, an ability to distinguish between the big picture and the detail and a pragmatic approach to resolve challenges.
Although this is a UK-wide and will involve UK-wide travel, any overnight away stays are anticipated to be around 25% of your time. Home based or working from one of the regional business premises in West and North Yorkshire, this business can offer both flexibility and variety.
In addition to a competitive base salary of £40,000, your total reward package will also include a £5,000 car allowance, 15% bonus potential, 5% pension contributions, private medical and life assurance, with 25 days holiday.
