This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very large and prestigious insurance company in Ipswich. We are looking for a professional business developer to work with an Executive Sales Team speaking to chief Financial Officers, Finance Directors, Company Secretaries, Group Legal Council, MD’s and other board level clients. This is a very rewarding role both financially and professionally which offers excellent prospects and future progression.
The focus of this role is to generate revenue for the company through the acquisition of new clients from appointments booked for Sales Executives.
Your main responsibilities include:
A polished approach to lead generation, researching, identifying and approaching the right contact for potential new clients
Outbound calling across a range of industries with a view to securing appointments for the Sales Execs to attend
Managing progress and next actions including providing call list reminders to Business Development Managers and Account Directors
Understanding client’s potential insurance needs and building strong relationships both internally and externally
Becoming an industry expert by liaising with other departments and regions on best practice and to give advice and help clients fulfil thei requirements
Managing the CRM system to ensure contained records are accurate, current and that appropriate development actions are captured and delivered
Experience and skills required:
Previous business to business sales experience at senior level
Professional and mature attitude
Insurance knowledge will be a distinct advantage
Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
Self motivation and determination to succeed and progress
