My client primary school has approached edustaff to help them recruit a high calibre teacher to join them from September in one of their reception classes. This is a position for either an experienced teacher with ideally at least two years post qualification experience or an NQT that has the potential to become, with the right support and guidance, an ‘Outstanding’ Early Years practitioner.
Located in Birmingham, the school has a philosophy of providing a protected, loving and motivating environment in which all children are respected and valued. The school boasts an exciting multi-cultural school community, a supportive and committed governing body, enthusiastic and confident pupils and engaged and hands-on parents including an active PTA.
The school is currently a Two form entry primary with plans to increase capacity over the coming years to around 500 pupils. The school, under the leadership of an inspiring Headteacher, has gone through a period of change which has seen a huge focus on both literacy and numeracy. These changes have been rewarded by their Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ and are now set to achieve ‘Outstanding’ The school has superb transport links, including a local train station and numerous bus routes within a 5 minute walk.
The school are looking for a teacher that is able to get the very best out of all the pupils at reception level, a teacher that is caring, understanding with the ability to make learning fun and engaging. They are also looking for a teacher that isn’t afraid to interpret the new curriculum in a creative manner.
For the right teacher there will be numerous opportunities to grow and progress within the school. This will come in the form of curriculum or subject responsibilities and the possibility over time to join the schools SLT. The school take the care and guidance of their pupils very seriously and so they require a teacher that is committed to the highest standards of pastoral care as well as being brilliant teachers.
