My client is looking to recruit an Electronic Production Technician for their site in Diss, Norfolk.

The purpose of the role is to manufacture The company's measurement products to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining quality of work and behaviour at all times. Enabling the company to provide a quality, customer focussed service to internal and external customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To manufacture products and Research and Development products to documented procedures as requested by the Mechanical Design Manager.

  2. To construct, test and calibrate measurement products to drawings, procedures and specifications.

  3. To advise of any delays during manufacture to the Production Co-ordinator in time for any difficulties to be resolved.

  4. To operate good housekeeping with regard to all production documentation, in particular calibration documentation and Works Order Line Inspections, in accordance with company's documentation procedure

  5. To ensure all associated documentation is completed in an accurate manner, in accordance with company's documentation procedure.

  6. To work the required working hours during peak season, achieving effective continuity of production and agreed deadlines through flexible time keeping.

  7. To update works order cards, parts lists as required at time of build.

  8. To carry out any duties as required by the company to ensure a quality product and service is delivered to customers on time.

  9. To identify and participate in any training or development which could contribute to your department or company objectives.

  10. To participate in and support a continuous improvement culture through offering suggestions for improvement and implementing for your area - identify and minimise all forms of non-added value.

  11. To be responsible for taking care of equipment assigned for personal use.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • No previous specific relevant experience or qualifications are required

  • Previous experience of soldering is preferable and desirable

  • Practical use of hand tools is essential together with good co-ordination and dexterity
  • Good standard of education
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Dexterous and capable, fflexible and reliable
  • Practical
  • Interest in electronics production
