Position: Technical Bureau Specialist

Location: Glasgow - Prestigious Head Office Location

Salary: £40,000 plus benefits.

This one stop solution includes the delivery of refrigeration/HVAC service and maintenance activity across their impressive client base, which includes Asda- one of the largest food retailers in the world.

Because of continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a Technical Bureau Specialist who willwork as part of an office based team providing a remote technical resource allowing for remote monitoring of HVAC, Refrigeration and Lighting systems.

You will provide specialist knowledge to the Technical Bureau Team and field engineers and will be the point of escalation for any technical query.You will also act as shift supervisor

The main direction of the role and responsibilities are:

·To monitor and manage HVAC and refrigeration calls and respond promptly and positively to service call requests prioritising Engineering activity

·Investigation of refrigeration & HVAC alarms with a high focus on response times.

·To interrogate AIMS systems in order to identify and remedy monitored alarms

·Triaging maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times to budgetary constraints

·To identify faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Engineer of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable repairs

·To advise the stores of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.

·To assist field Engineers in diagnosing faults.

·Provide specialist knowledge to Bureau Technicians and field Engineers

·To liaise with specialist service partners where appropriate when fault alarms are outside Bureau competencies to resolve

·To act as shift supervisor and deputise for Bureau Team Manager to ensure the Bureau carries out it functions efficiency to the agreed SLA and that KPIs are met.

·To comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times

·To complete all relevant administration duties relating to the role

Requirements for the role:

·You should have an understanding in BMS systems and connectivity

·As a Technical Specialist, you should have strong skills in technology, system platforms, hardware and software, lighting systems and should be keen to develop automated solutions and work on projects.

·A working knowledge of Niagara software would be advantageous

·You will be a positive individual, with a strong approach to customer service and able to work in a dynamic technical business environment

·You will be a strong communicator and should have supervisory experience.

·You should have technical refrigeration/HVAC or Building Management skills or a relevant degree or professional qualification in either discipline. High degree of Siemens, Amicus, AS1000 and RDM controls knowledge.

·You will be analytical with a robust thought process and aptitude for problem solving.

·You will also be PC literate with the ability to read and understand technical drawings and operating manuals to diagnose potential faults.
