Job Title: Document Controller.
Salary: £30,000 per annum, negotiable dependent upon experience.
Start Date: April / May 2017.
We are currently working alongside a leading global Engineering organisation, as they search for an experienced and enthusiastic Document Controller to join their expanding team in Gloucester. Our customer is a leading service provider in Project Management Construction Management (PMCM), delivering projects at all stages from initial studies, design through to construction and maintenance, across the UK and also internationally. Their projects span a number of sectors, including Rail, Highways, Water / Utilities, Energy and Aviation, all of which are of critical long-term importance to the general public, local and national economy and industry alike.
The client's team primarily consults on business performance improvement and one of their major focuses for this is working with design teams on the implementation of Production Management (also known as Last Planner in Lean Construction). However, the work they do spans a range of other innovative performance and business improvement initiatives. The team to work on a multitude of projects, which are often high-value and high-profile, as well as a range of sectors, from Highways, to Rail, to Utilities, to Sustainable Solutions, to Nuclear and Buildings and Infrastructure.
This role and its purpose would be to support their project delivery teams with document control / management services comprising:
*collating and tracking incoming documents, filing within document control systems, printing and setting up hard copy files and distributing as required.
*receiving client responses, tracking, filing and communicating as required.
*maintenance of document tracking systems to manage incoming, internal and outgoing documents.
*liaison with project team, client and representatives of outside parties as required.
*ad-hoc support to the Team Leader, Project Managers and other members of the team as required.
To prove successful in this exciting new position with our customer, we anticipate that you will have the following skills, experience and knowledge:
*extensive Document Control & Management experience with a market leading Engineering Consultancy or comparable sector.
*extensive experience with ICT-based document management and transfer systems including SharePoint, ProjectWise and BIM.
*ability to operate effectively without direct supervision.
*able to communicate effectively with clients, senior staff and delivery team members.
