Are you a Quality Technician looking for a new opportunity? If so I have a fantastic opportunity to join my client, the world's leading provider of technology for reservoir characterization, drilling, production, and processing to the oil and gas industry. Working in more than 85 Countries and employing approximately 100,000 people who represent over 140 different nationalities… they are now seeking an experienced Quality Technician to be based out of their well-appointed headquarters in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

The Quality Technician role in question is a full time permanent position. Salary starts at £23,500 and comes with excellent staff benefits.

Ideally I'm looking for an experienced Quality Technician with between 2-5 Years' experience in either the Renewable Energy Sector or the Oil & Gas Industry.

What The Job Will Entail / Required Skills:
(Proven Knowledge Or Experience Will Be Required)

*Build or set up equipment (data acquisition systems), conduct experiments, and collect data and calculate results
*Ability to set-up, configure data acquisitions system software, example NI Daq, NI Labview
*Setup and use of instrumentation including; pressure sensors, accelerometers, flow meters and thermocouples.
*Theoretical and practical knowledge IEEE 17th edition regulations.
*Experience of cable layout and installation and be able to construct and route cabling from verbal instructions, circuit diagram sketches or electrical schematics
*Good soldering skills at connector and PCB level, (certification to IPC 610 highly desirable)
*Ability to use all functions on a DMM, and oscilloscopes
*Assist with the design and development of electrical test fixtures
*Undertake timely diagnosis and fault finding.
*Ability to identify and report any tool and calibration requirements on EE equipment

Highly Desirable / Preferred Skills:

*Knowledge of environmental testing
*Knowledge of PID control and tuning.
*Knowledge of inverters, 3 phase motors and programmable Logic controllers
*Knowledge of Vibration, Shock, Climatic and Temperature testing, HALT or HASS methodologies
*Ability to construct prototype or experimental test jigs for circuit boards
*Mechanical assembly and problem-solving skills
*Knowledge or experience of working with high voltage systems
