An outstanding opportunity within an international banking/Financial Services Provider to act as deputy to the Head of Compliance in their absence on relevant compliance matters.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead and support all compliance related aspects associated with Global and European Strategic priorities, work streams and projects. This includes BREXIT contingency planning.

Support engagement strategies and interaction with European & Global Regulators as necessary to deliver key strategic priorities, work streams and projects.

Prepare, launch maintain new or updated compliance-related European and local policy letters, policy statements and procedures in-line with corporate standards and guidelines

Lead in the identification and control of current and emerging European & Global compliance risks to which the business is exposed - designing, maintaining and updating control documents including Compliance Risk Registers and Compliance Monitoring Programmes as necessary.

Ensure senior management and Board is appraised on current and emerging European & Global compliance risks.

Prepare, launch maintain new or updated European compliance-related training with corporate standards and guidelines.

Deputising for the Head of Compliance as necessary in key governance forums and meetings.

Maintain constant and open dialogue with all business units so as to provide Compliance advice to enable business units to operate in a compliant manner

Communicate and raise awareness of Compliance to business units to cultivate a compliance culture and understanding of issues imperative to compliance

Develop and submit selected regulatory and supervisory returns and risk-mitigation program responses to the regulators

Oversee monitoring and closure of any reported Compliance breaches.
