Group Financial Controller - 6 Month FTC

Exciting opportunity to join this leading TV/Entertainment company on a 6 month FTC with a strong possibility of going permanent! Based in the west end, you will be integral to the running of the finance team.

Responsibilities:
• Managing a team of three
• Preparation of group monthly management accounts, including commentary
• Management of month-end reporting process to ensure timely reporting
• Monthly overhead variance analysis
• Work with subsidiaries and related entities consolidate results into the group monthly management accounts and to ensure timely and accurate reporting from all group entities.
• Review and consolidation of monthly reporting packs from group entities as appropriate.
• Reviewing group monthly revenue in line with group revenue recognition policies
• Reviewing bank reconciliations and managing bank reconciliation process to month end deadlines. Ensure all receipts & payments are posted in a timely manner and investigate and resolve any old/large/unusual items in all bank reconciliations
• Support with preparation of forecasts, budgets and coverage reports as instructed from time to time by group FD/CFO
• Assist in preparing monthly group cash flow analyses and assisting in forward cash flow forecasting as instructed
• Assist in preparation of statutory accounts for all group companies
• Liaising with the group auditors for year end reporting purposes and preparation/management of audit packs for all group entities
• Posting and reconciliation of all group monthly payrolls ensuring all payroll taxation due is paid in a timely manner
• Assist group FD/CFO in dealing with ad-hoc taxation issues
• Management of purchase ledger staff and processing to ensure month end deadlines are met and supplier payment runs are appropriately reviewed in context of group cash management
• Other ad hoc duties from time to time as instructed by group FD/CFO

Requirements:
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Ideally media experience, preferably within TV/Film/Distribution
• Experience working at a group level
• Able to start within one weeks notice
