Receptionist dental (orthontic practice )
We are a friendly and busy orthodontic practice based in Wimbledon SW19 and we are currently recruiting for a Receptionist. This is a permanent position.
As a receptionist you will be required to work as part of the Orthodontic team to assist in the provision and delivery of Orthodontic services to patients. Most particularly by meeting and greeting patients to our practice and overseeing the secretarial and administrative services as part of the overall procedures and in line with practice policies.
Meet and Greet Patients and visitors.
Managing busy phone system (100+ calls per day)
Manage answer phone
Managing a busy computerised diary
To maintain reception and waiting room to create a welcoming, pleasing and orderly area.
Private patient point of call. Deal with all new patient enquiries and any concerns that other patients may have
To maintain patient confidentiality (this includes preventing medical histories, treatment proposals, conversations, financial transactions and reactions to treatment being overheard)
Ensuring that all patient forms are being completed. Making sure that the practice protocols with regard to medical history forms and change of patient details forms being issued, and completed.
To be aware of Health and Safety considerations with respect to patients and staff in the reception and access areas of the practice and ensure that all actions adhere to the Health and Safety policy of the practice
Wherever possible, to anticipate patient’s anxieties and to answer questions referring to clinician/manager for further assistance if necessary
Assist patients with the completion of Financial forms
Daily cash handling,
Balance all monies received at the end of each day: Ensure monies are held securely until banked.
Strong PC skills.
Enter new patients on to the system,
Correcting or updating all new or amended patient details,
Office Maintenance: i.e printers, fax machine, telephones are all in working order and cartridges are replaced and on site when needed,
Handle complaints in accordance with the practice Complaints and Procedure,
To follow practice Health and Safety codes in all aspects including resuscitation, emergency procedures and fire drill,
To carry out any other duties requested by the employer or Practice Manager to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of patient care,
To establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team,
To be flexible with your duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice,
Mondays 8:30 to 18:00, Tuesday to Thursdays either 7:30 to 5.00pm, 8:30 to 18. 00pm or 9:30 to 19:00.
Friday either 7:30am to 16:00pm or 9am to 17:30pm
Saturdays by arrangement 8:30am to 14:00pm.
A degree of future flexibility is required with respect to hours as the business continues to develop and evolve to meet customer expectations.
