We are delighted to represent an exceptional provider in their recruitment of a General Manager for a brand new retirement village. This an amazing and rare opportunity to join a high quality provider with visionary leadership and substantial investment.

As such our client is seeking an exemplary management professional who can provide leadership across all aspects of management of a busy retirement setting. The home is based close to Orpington and is part of group of 11 homes and with significant growth of new services in the south east over the next five years.

Responsibilities include

  • Reporting directly to Operations Director
  • Full responsibility for the safe and commercial running of a large retirement service
  • Management of quality and performance across all areas of the service
  • Financial management - including management of multiple and varied revenue flows
  • Able to deliver sound business and strategic planning
  • Provide clear leadership and support
  • Marketing and associated PR

Essential Criteria

  • You will be an independent self-starter with at least 2 years management of a luxury care facility, including private hospitals or hotels
  • Proven track record in delivering financial results within either hospitality or healthcare
  • Experience in opening a new commission is desirable
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • IT Literate
  • A desire and ambition to deliver the very best service and care within elderly care
