Teaching Assistant part time for September

Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide the highest standard of education. You will organise and run intervention, phonics and maths groups and take responsibility for identifying any pupils that need additional support. Each day you will be responsible for getting the classroom ready and support the teacher by preparing educational resources. When required you will support pupils who need additional support. You will assist the classroom teacher in monitoring and assessing the development of pupils in your class, providing verbal and written feedback.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you have recent and relevant classroom based experience, which you can back up with examples. You will be very organised with brilliant communication skills and able to build strong relationships with children, staff and parents alike. You will have a thorough understanding of the British National Curriculum and child development which you are able to implement in a classroom setting. You will have behavioural management skills and be able to stop behaviours escalating with ease.
