A well-established local Accountancy firm, with a growing client base is currently looking for a Payroll Assistant to join the payroll team. The role is part-time although full time applications will also be considered and that would involve other duties with the firm, i.e. Book-keeping and Tax Returns.
You will be assigned your own portfolio of clients and will be responsible for the day to day processing of weekly and monthly payrolls including starters, leavers, personal changes, holiday pay, statutory payments and Auto Enrolment data submissions. You will be required to actively support the members of the payroll team and members of the other departments of the company.
To be considered you will have a minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience preferable with a professional practice background. Experience of RTI and Auto Enrolment would be an advantage. Experience of Star Payroll is desirable but not essential. Good time management skills are required as well excellent PC skills including excel and word.
You must demonstrate that you have excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with clients on a day to day base via telephone and e-mail which should make for a special working relationship with the clients, as we pride ourselves on providing a high level of service at all times. Your communication and relationship building with other staff members is essential as we have an excellent team spirit within the company.
