Head of Marketing-Rural Sevenoaks

£50,000-Full time, permanent

Our client a highly successful medium sized family run business is looking to hire an experienced head of marketing for their growing team. Due to the client’s rural location your own transport is essential for this role.

The role;

As the Head of Marketing you will be an integral part of the senior management team and you will be responsible for managing a small team of marketing executives. Your overall responsibility is to head up the marketing department and raise the profile for the 7 diverse brands the client has as well as their profile within the industry.

Key responsibilities;

  • Manage marketing functions including the management, development and training of marketing team members
  • Develop strategies to maximise memberships
  • Collaboration with the commercial teams to understand their requirements; particularly brand awareness and lead generation through effective multi-channel campaigns
  • Producing insightful sales collateral and identifying sources of data
  • Manage the design process-from concept to completion
  • Supervision, guidance and leadership of the marketing team
  • Oversee the use of brands across all channels
  • Create compelling, informative and highly successful campaigns
  • Implement direct mail, email, print, social and digital marketing campaigns
  • Conducting extensive market research and competitor analysis
  • Support client retention through marketing communications
  • Maintain benchmarking reports to monitor marketing performances and campaign productivity
  • Proofing and approval of all marketing communications

Qualifications/Experience Required;

  • CIM, marketing degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a marketing team
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant B2B media experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of cross channel marketing and communication techniques
  • Proven ability to produce creative and effective marketing plans
  • Extensive knowledge of analysing marketing data, trends and information
  • Experience of creating and implementing marketing budgets
  • Competent user and trainer of various marketing tools and software
  • Excellent presentational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competent with all social media
