We are proud to be working with a national FMCG Brand, we are working on a Management Accountant role based in central Milton Keynes.

Client Details

This is a very well known brand based in Milton Keynes, currently experiencing a high volume of growth.


Management Reporting

  • Preparation of monthly Management Information System reports, currently in Excel.

  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts, including fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, deferred and accrued income, balance sheet reconciliations, office cross charges and inter-company recharges.

  • Monthly salary payments and related Flex payments and analysis for the Group.

  • Monthly statutory payments, e.g. PAYE and NI.

  • Monthly pension analysis, submission and payment.

  • Quarterly vat return - preparation of turnover reconciliation, and consolidation of the other divisions into a Group submission.

  • Assisting with the consolidation of each division's results in to a monthly Group Pack using pre-defined templates, currently in Excel.

  • Preparation of year end financial statements together with supporting schedules, and liaison with external auditors.

  • Assisting with the yearly Group insurance renewal.

Accounts Administration

  • Raising sales invoices and entering them on the finance and project management system.

  • Processing and entering purchase invoices on the finance and project management system.

  • Weekly payment runs.

  • Month expense payment runs.

  • Weekly expense processing.

  • Monthly credit card processing.

  • Daily bank reconciliations and forecasting.

  • Cover when required for the assistant accountant, including payroll processing, project administration, budgeting and re-budgeting, work won analysis, debt chasing, project completions.

Systems Management

  • Daily administration of Project mailbox, including queries, help with financial information for project bids, and setting up new proposals.

  • Weekly timesheet chasing.

  • Maintenance of current project management system including updating day rates, setting up new starters, dealing with timesheet and budget queries.

  • Supporting the Financial Controller with the implementation of a new integrated project management system.


  • ACCA / ACA / CIMA Qualified

  • High levels of motivation, enthusiasm and initiative.

  • Organised with consistent attention to detail.

  • Excellent Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data to meet reporting requirements.

  • Ability to keep to strict deadlines and to take ownership of regular tasks, and to adapt to a changing environment when needed.

  • Willing to learn, showing adaptability, pro-activity and discretion

  • A drive to improve the efficiency and design of current processes.
