Sewell Wallis are proud to be working with one of the most impressive manufacturing companies across West Yorkshire in their search for a Senior Management Accountant.

This is a fantastic organisation that is all about succession planning for the future. They believe that all employees should be able to see the next step on the career ladder from day one and their staff retention proves that it works.

They are now looking for an established Senior Management Accountant who will be looking for their move up to Financial Controller level in the next 18 months. You will join a successful and profitable business that is demonstrating some impressive growth and work underneath an exceptional manager who is both supportive and extremely approachable.

Reporting to the current FC, your responsibilities will include:

-Managing a junior accountant and developing them through regular one to ones to help them progress through their accountancy studies
-Producing the monthly management accounts
-Reviewing gross margins
-Looking at stock analysis and overseeing the stock taking process, WIP and cost analysis
-Group reporting
-Supporting the FC will commercial decisions and strategic planning to continue their year on year growth
-Variance analysis
-Working closely with the supply chain function and being the key point of contact for any queries from non-finance individuals
-Deputising for the FC when necessary

You will ideally be:

-A qualified accountant
-A strong communicator
- Able to demonstrate some man-management skills or the aptitude to become a strong leader
- Ambitious and driven, ideally looking for a move into an FC role in the next 18 months
- Experience working within a manufacturing experience
- Strong SAP user
