A lovely nursery in the Salisbury area are looking for a Room Leader to work in one of their rooms. Salary starting at £18069.00 gross p.a. depending on experience

A holder of an Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above is essential with excellent knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures. At least 1 years experience working in a nursery is desirable

Main Responsibilities: To contribute to ensure the safety, well being and development of all children. To ensure the structure of the day is maintained, that any necessary planning is in place and staff are well instructed and deployed. To maintain and ensure that junior staff, maintain the processes of observations, maintaining developmental records and assessment recording. To ensure all planning of the Curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage. To be aware of and adhere to all nursery policies and procedures and to ensure junior staff, also adhere to them. To ensure the environment is safe and maintained. To ensure together with the Management team that staff ratios are maintained. To undertake any cleaning of equipment, rooms, loos, laundry and other areas within the nursery as required. You are also responsible for delegating and supervising such tasks to junior staff and ensuring their completion. To ensure children and visitors are signed in and out of nursery. To be available to attend staff meetings, outings, training and parent's evenings or other events. To ensure risk assessments are undertaken at the appropriate times. To ensure you implement any action plans delegated to you. To undertake peer on peer observation for the purposes of appraisal. To ensure correct completion of daily report sheets for each child. To ensure all messages are recorded in the appropriate place e.g. diaries. To help and guide trainees towards gaining their qualification and towards accepted work practices within nursery. To share good practice and cascade training throughout the nursery.
