Finance Manager - Recruitment Industry

£38,000 - £55,000

Our client a globally recognised Recruitment Company are looking for a Finance Manager to join their offices in London.

The ideal candidate will have experience in

  • Working across multiple businesses at all levels and with people from all backgrounds
  • Working with non-finance people in a sales/operational environment
  • Success in assisting sales/operational managers to drive performance
  • Financial systems including advanced Excel and advanced modelling skills

You will preferably be a qualified accountant and have experience in managing people.


  • Identify opportunities and support the implementation of change to maintain and improve profitability of the business, including understanding areas of spend and sources of revenue and income.
  • Review of legal contracts to ensure contractual terms match commercial viabilities
  • To fully understand the impact of network transactions and processes on financial systems. To improve on these and communicate changes where necessary.
  • To monitor performance and profitability of all outlets in the network.
  • Manage financial and business planning processes to meet the ever changing demands of a fast moving organisation, and formulate Budgets, Forecasts and Targets
  • Monitor key metrics and produce MI reports accurately and within required timescales.
  • Undertake post implementation reviews on new business wins and renewals to determine accuracy of financial estimates and performance versus pro forma pricing.
  • Model financial implications of changes in the network, and support the business in developing strategy.
  • Maintain awareness of the industry and competitors in order to maintain best practice and identify opportunities
  • Adhere to month end timelines, ensuring quality is not compromised for speed.
  • Early identification of risks to delivery to prescribed time lines
  • Manage and track the performance of direct reports in order to achieve/exceed set goals by :
    • Setting performance targets, objectives and KPI's shared via performance reviews/appraisals.
    • Providing effective feedback.
    • Addressing any under performance
