PHP Web Developer // Manchester // £40,000-£55,000

Bored of your standard, mundane dev adverts? I'm looking to change things up here, as are the company I'm recruiting for. We are looking for a senior PHP web developer that's looking to make a difference to people's everyday life. There's no doubt about it, this is an ethical business with a vision for sustainability and promoting fundamental change.

Sounds good, but what about the company?

A software solutions provider looking for someone with transferable skills. In a flat, fluid and flexible environment, to work on a sister product of the business. Creating software that identifies key opportunities for energy saving and generation.

They are a believer in using the best development principles and modern tech, using test driven development and working within an agile methodology.

So what will I be doing?

The company currently works with a number of 3rd party agencies at the moment, supporting a range of websites and applications. This is where you come in.

They are looking for a developer that is up for the challenge of bringing all these services in-house, redeveloping and streamlining. This will no doubt be a hands on role, taking technical ownership, suggesting the best technologies to use and delivering solutions that will provide the business with the means to deliver their objectives.

As a PHP developer you will push an aggressive product roadmap, covering all aspects of the development lifecycle, having a specific focus on designing, developing and testing of both web applications and internal portals, looking after everything server side and backend PHP services.
