Learning Mentor for Academic Literacy

Salary: UCL Academy Pay scale 4 Spine Point 18 - 21 (£21,330 to £23,376) pro-rata, term time only
Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31 August 2017, term time - possibility of extension for another academic year for the right candidate
Start date: As soon as possible/ Subject to notice period

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with vision and passion to provide an inspirational mentoring service to English Language and Literature students who require help in overcoming barriers to learning that prevent them from achieving their full potential.

Working closely with the English teachers, teaching support staff across faculties and under the guidance of Curriculum Leaders, you will learn and develop your own knowledge base and gain first-hand experience in supporting students.

If you have a passion for English and want to enhance your knowledge, or if you are interested becoming a future secondary teacher this role will prove to be an educational and rewarding experience both personally and professionally.
