Junior Construction Manager
Job Title: Junior Construction Manager.
Salary: £30-35,000 per annum, negotiable dependent upon experience.
Start Date: April / May 2017.
We are currently working alongside a leading global Engineering organisation, as they search for an enthusiastic Junior Construction Manager to join their expanding team in Croydon, working on exciting projects across the UK. We are searching for a Junior Construction Manager who will assist and manage the provision of technical consultancy services to clients. As part of their Construction Management team, you will also contribute to the solution of technical issues arising within projects
Within this exciting new position, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
*be responsible for supporting resources that are assigned, managing the construction project and for day-to-day liaison with teams and clients.
*assist the management / reporting requirements and the delivery of the project to the required standard, on time and within budget.
*to work with clients and contractors with a diverse range of objectives in the definition of a successful project.
*to meet company objectives that are not always aligned with those of clients.
*to comply with all relevant Legislation, Policies and Procedures.
*to work with a diverse range of specialists and engineering professionals.
*to provide technical solutions that meet the requirements of client.
We anticipate that the successful applicant for this position will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*an MSc in Construction Management. Ideally, you will also possess an Engineering degree / qualification. Our customer would like to find someone with the ambition to become a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB).
*ideally will also have some site-based experience as either a placement or work experience.
*have experience of effectively planning, monitoring and controlling your own work, as well as others, taking account of the priorities of projects.
*able to plan, monitor and control the delivery of projects to clients.
*competent in MSOffice, MS Project, Earned Value, reporting Tools.
