Senior Category Manager / Product Developer - Gift, Stationery & Back To School

Are you Senior Buyer or Buying Manager looking for a new challenge?

Are you a product expert in Stationery, Gift & Back To School?

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum plus competitive package

We’re working with a design led, lifestyle brand who are active within a multitude of product categories. Whilst fashion has been the leader for the brand in terms of revenue, they are keen to grow their other categories to the same success. This company has global exposure through licensees across the globe, from niche, independent boutiques to large multi-million dollar retailers. They have huge plans to grow and expand their business in to even more categories. Innovative and progressive in their approach, they are a dynamic place to work, where ideas are realised and opportunities maximised. Do you want to be part of their success?

Looking after a small team, if successful you will oversee a large number of key licensees within Gift, Stationery and Back To School, as well as Homewares. A large part of the role will involve working closely with the licensees on expanding their portfolio in to new product areas, taking ownership of the entire design and NPD process.

We’re looking for a passionate and accomplished professional with experience of category management and product development ideally within a retail focused environment. Previous experience developing product within gift or stationery and "Bsck To School" is essential, and ideally some exposure to homewares. This role would suit an experienced Senior Buyer or Buying Manager level candidate from these categories looking to diversify their career in a role that will give them autonomy, as well as the ability to blend being strategic, commercial and creative. You will also ideally have had some experience in, or an understanding of licensing.

Although this is a role working for a licensor, we are not looking for traditional licensing experience. Product development experience within the aforementioned categories is far more important.
