An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Settlements Associate to join our client, an established securities house based in London city.

Responsibilities of the Settlements Associate will include:

To help drive an efficient settlement team to ensure that the company can service their clients accurately, enhancing the reputation of the company Operations throughout the industry.

Process all Asset Transfers In & Out as per the client instructions by communicating with clients, custodians and ceding parties to ensure a timely and accurate completion.

Processing all External and Internal payments out using the online banking system.

Processing all Regular Contributions

Working alongside the Dealing team to ensure that all Market Trades are matched and settled on ISD

Ensuring the static data in the system for all assets are up to date and accurate.

Processing all Contract Notes for Fund Trades on the date of receipt.

Working alongside the WBS Dealing team to process any Fund conversions.

Assisting the Client Service team in answering any client queries to ensure that we respond to the client on the same day.

Ensure all asset and cash breaks assigned to the team are investigated and resolved in a timely manner

Assist in the collation of all daily, weekly and monthly MI, KPI's and KRI's within Operations, ensuring production is timely and accurate.

Assist Settlement Manager with any required documents in preparation for Client meetings.

To build and maintain a strong culture of compliance, risk management, integrity, client focus and other such company values


The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes/skills:

CISI Certificate in Investment Operations or equivalent within 2.5 years of commencement in the role

Excellent working knowledge of IT, MS Office (Outlook, Excel)

Adhere to the internal governance, systems & controls, exchange rules and Financial Conduct Authority and the

Company's compliance manual, staff handbook and IT security manual in place in respect of the Settlements team

To possess a thorough up-to-date understanding of all regulatory requirements, procedures and issues impacting the division; including but not limited to RDR, Transaction Reporting, Complaints, TCF, CASS, KYC, AML, new legislation, Company policies and products in order to ensure the Company conducts its activities in accordance with the current regulatory requirements.
