Marketing Executive and Account Manager, Northamptonshire. £40,000 to £50,000 Basic salary plus benefits. This is an internally based strategic and tactical marketing role with account management responsibilities. Suffice to say, it requires a commercially creative and multitalented individual with a broad set of skills such as marketing flair and the ability to spot and exploit commercial opportunities.
This specialist listed company are a tier one supplier of a wide range of products into brown and white goods manufacturers. The key accounts that you will manage are all 'household names' and longstanding. However, it is well-known that these accounts can also be grown with careful account management and focus.
This is a strategic marketing role (not creative) and account development role that requires a marketing executive with the confidence and personality to manage key accounts. Ideally you will be a business graduate or a CIM diploma qualified marketing executive with strategic marketing or product marketing experience or account management experience. Broadly the split is 70% strategic marketing and 30% account management.
The role is largely tactical and commercial marketing whilst managing relationships with third party suppliers. As the marketing side of the role grows it is envisaged that your account management responsibilities will be passed to other members of the team. Some knowledge of social media and 'inbound marketing' techniques, including marketing automation and marketing information systems, would be very useful. In addition, you will have some involvement and input in the outsourcing of the creation of marketing collateral to agencies, but it must be stressed this is very much a strategic marketing role with supplier relationship responsibilities.

The role is hugely varied and reports directly into the CEO (also the majority shareholder) so you must be a confident, professional individual with the shrewdness to make well-researched commercial recommendations.
