DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Proactive Sales Role with corporate business development and account management

·Researches and prospects local opportunities to drive corporate business for accommodation and meetings

·Manages local accounts for both transient and meetings business

·Analyses current and potential markets/trends, coordinates all activities to maintain and increase revenue through added business volume and increased rate

·Create a culture where team members are motivated and encouraged to maximise sale

·Supports the team, develops and nurtures talent

·Maintains contact with meetings planners, corporate accounts, through personal sales calls and meetings on a regular basis

·Creates and implements special strategies for need periods to achieve targets/budget

·Assists in producing, implementing and monitoring action plans to ensure Revenue Plan objectives are achieved

·Increasing business volume during difficult periods

·Increasing local food and beverage banqueting sales

·Plans and executes sales trips to major market areas

·Attends major travel events to promote the hotel

·Maintains close liaison with IHG National and Global Sales teams to ensure the hotel receives proper corporate consideration, direction and support

·Produces monthly Sales reports and forecasts

·Meets with guests from major producers/organizers of big events staying in the hotel to ensure customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Experience & Required Skills

·A minimum of 2 years in a hotel sales environment

·Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure

·Passionate, driven and results orientated

·Be highly organised with the ability to plan and communicate well 

·Have excellent sales /customer care service and a real drive to hit sales targets 

·Knowledge of local & London market, ability to source & develop accounts

·Account management skills, ability to work independent

·A high standard of personal presentation, confident, professional and welcoming personality

·Confidence & professionalism in dealing with high profile clients

Qualifications Preferred

·Bachelor’s degree

·Excellent use of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Delphi
