My client is a Genealogy and International Probate research company based in London with a number of overseas offices. They also own a family-run property investment firm which operates in the residential rental market in London. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on a part time ( 3 days a week) basis. You will be reporting to the Partners and will be responsible for managing the accounting staff.


    Delivery of high quality, timely statutory financial and management reporting.Lead a HR responsibility for the business and personnel management.Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances.Using a financial control framework, including financial accountabilities and authorities to ensure full financial control.Act as the main point of contact to external auditors and provide all required information.Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance and financial controls.Liaison with outsource providers to ensure all tasks are identified and plans for transition are identifiedTax planning for the property company.Manage the payroll, employee benefits and Pension scheme.Develop trend and performance analysis reports for the business.Comply with the external financial reporting requirements.Direct line management of two BookkeepersSupport the working partners in their duties and promotion of the business.

    Qualified accountant with strong technical skillsExperienced Finance Manager or Financial ControllerIdeally will have worked in Professional Services, legal sector in particular Strong management reporting backgroundCapacity to influence and implement changeAn excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills. Highly refined analytical skills to quickly review and analyse business processes Good IT skills
