Our client established for more than 30 years is an independent privately owned manufacturer and supplier of ultrasonic NDT (non-destructive testing) solutions serving a wide and diverse client base spanning sectors such as aerospace, energy, automotive, rail, petrochemical, and oil and gas process industries in the UK and internationally. They have a portfolio of blue chip clients including Rolls Royce and Network Rail.
From simple scanners and ultrasonic transducers to more complex inspection probes and sensor systems, they produce a range of high quality standard NDT products as well as producing bespoke solutions to specific customer requirements.
The company was acquired in 2012 and the new owners have invested heavily in the business, in its infrastructure, and in its people.
The company has recently moved to much larger premises with state of the art facilities and is looking to exploit its potential for growth both domestically and globally: the company already has a portfolio of international clients including a number of companies in the USA.We are looking to appoint a General Sales Manager with an appropriate electro-mechanical background to take responsibility for the day to day running of the business. The appointed candidate will have full operational autonomy and P&L responsibility with a remit to drive the business forward. The business currently has a turnover in excess of £1m the objective is to deliver incremental YOY growth.
Our ideal candidate, a Graduate calibre engineer will demonstrate experience of delivering sales growth in a similar SME environment. Knowledge of NDT testing and of electro-mechanical component manufacturing is certainly desirable and would be a distinct advantage. You must have previous experience running a manufacturing production business.
You will be a confident self-motivated individual demonstrating a high degree of commercial acumen, together with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and the ability to manage people and deliver change.
