Associate Manager, Academic Programmes

Kaplan Test Prep International is recruiting for an Associate Manager to help oversee successful delivery of its current and new courses. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is looking to work in an innovative and supportive team environment.

The Associate Manager will divide their time between line managing a team of part-time faculty, and participating in a wide variety of projects and initiatives related to teacher and student support, curriculum development and other areas of academic operations. This key team member reports to the Academic Director and will work in close collaboration with faculty trainers, teachers and other team members and stakeholders to ensure we deliver excellent levels of student satisfaction with academic delivery of our courses and services.

Kaplan Test Prep (KTP) is the leading provider of coaching courses and tutoring for US and UK university admissions tests such as the GMAT, UKCAT, BMAT and SAT. The KTPI academics team ensures a high standard of instruction and academic support for the company's classroom and online students studying with us in the UK and around the world.

Primary responsibilities include:

- Line manage a team of part-time faculty members, including faculty work assignments.
- Recruit and arrange training for new faculty members
- Oversee training and teacher-observation projects which ensure faculty meet student feedback metric goals.
- Schedule courses, ensuring they meet customer and business needs.
- Support academic needs for institutional contracts and international Kaplan partners.
- Facilitate teacher advancement and retention.
- Support business financial management by reporting on payroll and other costs.
- Drive team success by participating in other projects on a seasonal basis including - initiatives to support academic excellence at Kaplan partner organizations.

We are looking for:

- a graduate with at least 3 years work experience.
- at least 1 year of experience line managing part- or full-time staff.
- excellent time management, project management and organisational skills.
- strong interpersonal skills.
- self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- team player with a diligent work ethic.
- computer literate and familiar with online technology.
- familiarity with standardised admissions tests such as the GMAT, SAT or UKCAT is helpful, but not essential.

Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 per annum
