In the role of Technical Manager in food you want to be able to lead and drive the Technical function forward with a team behind you all of the way. Committed to the journey this team are growing and developing daily but require leadership and technical expertise to continue to evolve a Quality Assurance culture.
This is an opportunity to be part of a journey, to utilise your experience in food manufacturing and draw upon this to put in place processes, procedures and help the business to continue to develop and achieve the highest audit standards, a true quality culture and delivery of customer service levels.
You can expect to be the most senior Technical professional on site, allowing you to really lead the function and mold and develop change, at this stage you will only have a small team to manage but as the business evolves this will also evolve, and you can be part of developing this structure. The culture is still in that of a QC and needs an in-depth understanding of BRC, technical compliance, food safety and auditing to train, develop and instil a Quality Assurance culture to move forward. Using KPIs you will trend and analyse areas for improvement and will train and empower others to actively think about improvements and corrective actions.
Here you can lead and implement Technical strategy, put in place succession plans, strive to and achieve the highest grade technical audits as a team and pro-actively manage through change.
This is not a hum-drum business; you will require a fast-paced mind-set and a proven track record in a similar role in food manufacturing.
