Job Title – Maintenance Engineer

Shifts - 4 on 4 off Days and nights.

Salary - £35,000 - £37,000 including a shift allowance + Pension + Overtime.

Maintenance Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading Manufacturer on a continental shift basis in Derby. The ideal candidate will be time served and hold a recognised Electrical and Mechanical qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or HND.

As Maintenance Engineer within this leading manufacturer you will attend routine breakdowns, perform planned and preventative maintenance, and assist with plant Improvements of general plant and associated production machinery such as PLC's, Conveyors, Packaging Machinery and Automated machinery. You will have both an electrical and mechanical appreciation within this environment.

Reporting into the Lead Engineer, this role has a primary objective of ensuring target line efficiencies are delivered through providing reactive and proactive engineering support to the department.

Working in a high speed, high pressure manufacturing environment, the Maintenance Engineer is expected to work in partnership with operational teams to be the source of technical expertise in addition to taking ownership of the engineering KPI’s working in a self-led, autonomous manner.

You will have demonstrable experience in proactive maintenance activities, fault finding and the ability to contribute to OEE and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will also include project work as you will be expected to work closely with production teams, to help eliminate production stoppages

  • Maintenance Engineer (any bias) who has been involved within a production environment
  • Open to industry experience.
  • Ex forces will be considered.
  • Electrical or Mechanically qualified

The Candidate

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will expect

  • Salary - Basic £35,500 average earnings with shift allowance can be up to £38,000
