Situated in Gaydon, Warwick - in our state of the art Prestige Sports Automotive Manufacturing facility - we are looking for a CAD Design engineer to work on the latest vehicle designs across our range. The CAD Engineer will be proficient within CAD NX, and have previous experience working on Automotive OEM design work.

Within the design facility - we have some specific areas of the vehicle which we are keen to gather NX CAD designers to work on within the vehicle body division.

Locks and Latches - to design and develop closure latching systems and handle mechanisms for future vehicle programmes - interior / exterior door handles, latching systems, deploying tow-bar, wash-wipe system, exterior trim / mouldings

Exterior trim - CAD design and modelling of Exterior trim, sealing system and glass in Siemens NX

Management of created CAD into Teamcenter ensuring all model attributes are completed to company standard. This role also requires some level of project engineering responsibility.

- Ensure models are compatible with surrounding environment and suitable for Engineering Release
- Preparation of detailed drawings to AML drafting standards may be required
- Work under the direction of Project engineer/PMST leader on a day to day basis
- Experience of component design for injection moulding, RRIM, pressings and extrusion processes in various materials would be beneficial.
- Support and/or investigate resolution of build issues during pre-production builds and launch phase.

Qualifications & Experience

- Educated to degree level or equivalent within an engineering related discipline with automotive experience in component design.
- Experienced NX user.
- Previous experience of Teamcenter
- Knowledge of Exterior trim components
- A working knowledge of component manufacturing, tooling requirements & lead times.
- Good knowledge of GD&T.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge ofour AMPCS process and participation in PMST teams would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of the Failure Mode Avoidance techniques and processes would be an advantage.
- The ideal candidate will be a focused, highly motivated, results orientated individual who works well under pressure and can work to a given deadline.
- Ability to work well within a team environment is essential.

Applicants must possess the ability to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship / visa. This is a contract based role anticipated to run initially until the end of 2017 - with then scope for extension for 2018.
