We are now seeking to recruit a talented and motivated individual to join us as a Paint & Body Technical Trainer. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the Paint & Body sector of the automotive industry, ideally looking for a Panel or MET technician; training delivery experience is NOT essential, full training will be provided if required.
Some of the responsibilities will involve:
•To deliver premium brand manufacture Body repair and MET technical training
•To have some input for the design and development of new training materials/programmes to meet externalcommercial and project driven requirements.
•Help to develop materials necessary for the delivery of new courses including: lesson plans, support materials, delegate hand-outs, visual aids, pre- and post-course materials and other relevant resources such as e-learning etc…
•To update and maintain materials necessary for the delivery of existing courses including: lesson plans and support materials, delegate handouts, visual aids, pre- and post-course materials and other relevant resources such as e-learning etc….
•To liaise with the other technical trainers and the Contract manager on all development and update activity
•To keep up-to-date with current learning practices and theories through reading, research and networking
•To identify opportunities for blended learning solutions to be developed for clients through partnerships with external suppliers or through further development of products.
•To evaluate the effectiveness of all training delivered, making any recommendations to ensure learning and business objectives of all stakeholders are met
·To ensure training records and related paperwork and online systems are maintained and kept up-to-date within specified system, to meet the requirements of commercial customers
·To carry out related project work as required undertake all tasks and responsibilities specified in the Company’s Operations Procedures, working instructions, and current employment and health and safety legislation and regulations
·Engage with all parties in order to modify training delivery as a result of delegate satisfaction and key stakeholder feedback.
·Undertake other such duties as may be reasonably requested periodically
·Protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference
·Comply with the Data Protection Act 1998
•Practical current vocational skills and expertise in the areas you are required to train (minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
•Specific and relevant technical certificates
•Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification (Desirable but not essential)
•Minimum of 5 years industry experience
•Working knowledge of IT, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel
•Proven track record of consistently achieving performance targets
•A Team player yet capable and willing to work on own initiative
•Comfortable with taking an innovative approach to the solution of business delivery issues
Skills and Experience required:
·Extensive experience within the Paint & Body area.
·Welding and JIG experience (Desirable but not essential)
·Occupational experience as required by NVQ Code of Practice and relevant awarding bodies.
·Proven track record of imparting skills and learning to others.(desirable but not essential)
·Understanding of and belief in work based learning and competency assessment.
·Focused on delivering objectives and targets

·Assumes responsibility and accountability
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Demonstrable high level of organisational skills and self- motivation.
