An opportunity has arisen for a savings / bond officer to join a small, energetic and friendly office in Aylesbury town. The company is in the banking industry, however you do not need experience in this industry to be considered for the role. This company can offer progression and development if you are keen to get into the banking industry.

Your new role
The key responsibilities of this role will include processing bond applications and opening accounts for existing and new banking customers. You will be answering the phone and dealing with any customer queries, while also discussing products etc. There will also be an element of finance in the role with reconciling bank statements. This is based in an office environment with a team of about 8 people. The company are offering 2 jobs here - 1 x 6 month contract and 1 x permanent.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will need to be someone who can deal with both a busy and a quiet environment, as this role peaks at different times in the year. You will need to have strong customer service skills as you will be dealing with the banks' customers over the phone - many of whom are elderly. You will also need to be extremely organised with strong administration skills and a keen eye for detail. Good Excel skills are also needed for this role.

What you'll get in return
In return for this interesting role, you will receive a salary of between £17,000 - £19,500 (depending on experience). The company also have other benefits included in the package. The working hours are 9 - 5.30, however during busy periods you may occasionally need to stay a little later as a team - this is reflective of the team spirit that you will be part of.
