The role encompasses the recruitment and development of volunteers who will support victims of crime and to develop effective local key stakeholder relationships to assist in obtaining local funding. You will also have the responsibility of maintaining and enhancing service delivery standards to victims of crime whilst demonstrating innovation in the work you undertake.

The successful candidate must have the knowledge and experience of delivering a service, and working directly with clients or service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting. You must also have an understanding of maintaining confidentiality, safe working practices and the maintenance of files in accordance with the Data Protection Act. In addition you must be able to demonstrate your active commitment to promoting equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion. It is also essential that you are able to work independently without direct supervision, and can prioritise your work and deal with competing demands in an organised and methodical manner. The ability to gather, analyse and use information and evidence from different sources to solve and resolve problems is also essential.

Appointments will be subject to satisfactory checks made by the Disclosure & Barring Service and references.
