A leading Bristol based, accountancy practice has a requirement for an experienced Payroll and Accounts / Bookkeeping Senior, to join their general practice team, in a hands on role, delivering payroll services and wider general accountancy practice services, to a wide range of clients, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, up to circa £1-2 million turnover on largest clients
A highly successful and reputable, accountancy practice, based in Bristol. The firm acts for a wide spectrum of clients, in industry range, sectors and turnovers. You will have opportunity to become a key addition, into this close knit team, with increasing responsibility and client involvement, as you develop and progress in this team.
Joining as a Payroll and Accounts / Bookkeeping Senior, based in the Bristol offices, you will have a split role here, circa 50/50, between delivering a quality payroll service, to a wide ranging payroll client base and assisting the wider team on accounts preparation, analysing and collating client information, including from incomplete records. Preparing VAT returns, assisting in preparing management accounts, bookkeeping and other services. Clients range across industry and sectors to include acting for wide ranging turnovers, up to around £1 - 2 million on larger clients, with a core, of smaller sole trader, partnership and higher proportion of limited company clients.
The role will suit either an experienced, AAT qualified Accounts Technician, happy at this level and keen to build on their existing experience, or an experienced person, without formal qualifications. Most importantly, you will have a background within the accountancy practice sector, with experience of delivering payroll services a necessity. Wider experience preparing accounts, bookkeeping etc for varied clients, will be a bonus, or if coming with a payroll focused background, you will need to demonstrate the interest and aptitude to develop the accounting skills required, as part of this role.
£18,000 - circa £22,000 dependent on experience and background, plus benefits, negotiable
