Our client are in the top 10 best National house builders. They are a family-run privately owned business. They are looking for An experienced #1 site manager to join their management team in based in Horsham.

They pride themselves on building beautiful, quality, purpose-built 2 - 4 bedroom houses in desirable locations across the UK.

Based onsite and reporting to the Contracts Manager, you’ll successfully manage all aspects of the building site, with responsibility for health and safety issues, trades and material co-ordination, site presentation and cost control.

The Role:

The Site Manager will have overall responsibility for the whole of the site and will liaise closely with the senior team including the Construction Director and other Site Managers to deliver high quality work.

The Site Manager will over see all areas of the build from setting out, infrastructure works, groundwork, construction through to completion and handover. They must also organise and prioritise the work of the site team, control and co-ordinate the attendance and number of subcontractors on site, resolve queries, problems and conflicts at site level and hold regular site meetings with subcontractors to monitor and appraise key company objectives.

The project consists of 68 units, split level and is traditional build. It will be key to ensure the efficient running of the site and completion of the administration functions. Prepare weekly reports and input stages into the computer system. Ensure variations are recorded, issued and actioned by appropriate subcontractors and suppliers. Advise the Surveyor regarding all sales instructions. Review the monthly build cost report for the site. Liaise with the Surveyor to understand expenditure.

The Successful Applicant

Candidate for this role must have experience of building regulations in the UK and have worked for either a national residential developer or main contractor, additionally candidates should:

*Have excellent customer and business communication skills.

*Have 5 years minimum experience of managing medium to large development, along with experience in the management of Health & Safety.
