Job Title – Maintenance Engineer
Salary - £33,000 (up to £40,000 average earnings)
Shift – Double Days
Location – Kimbolton
My Client is a leading manufacturer of a variety of products within the animal feed industry. All together they are producing over 1000 tonnes of their product per week and are continuing to grow day by day. A small family fun business and have been for over 40 years, their biggest customer being MARS and have recently signed another 10-year contract with them.
With a turnover of £9.5m last year they are looking at buying a new site which will need a maintenance manager in due course but at this present time they are looking for another Engineer to join their fantastic team.
The Maintenance Engineer will be required to cover breakdowns and PPMs on site. They currently have equipment such as slicers, de-barkers, check weighers and more. 70% of the time is currently spent on breakdowns whereas 30% will be spent on PPMs. My clients target is to get Breakdowns to a minimum within the next 12 months before opening a new site.
Electrically the Maintenance Engineer will be fault finding across all sites production lines with a multi meter and against electrical drawings. All modifications on PLCs are done externally but the Maintenance Engineer will be required to fault find through inputs / outputs. Mechanically the Maintenance Engineer will be required to strip down parts and replace like for like such as bearings, slicers, motors and more.
As My client, will be looking for a maintenance manager going forward they will want someone who is willing to come and receive Management training (externally) and who is willing to take that next step in their career.
To be successful in your application you must have the following:
- Apprentice trained or equivalent
- Must have worked in an automated environment
- Must be multi skilled
