TRADE COUNTER MANAGER
The Trade Counter Manager will take full responsibility for the smooth running and development of the Trade Counter business within a North East leading Window and Door company.
The “hands on” role leading a small team involves:-
Maximising existing account counter sales growth and margin in line with operational budgets and targets in liaison with the Business Managing Director;
Building and sustaining good relationships with customers;
Providing excellent customer service;
Providing advice on products and services;
Keeping up the general appearance and image of the counter;
Maintain control of key business processes including processing of sales, arranging deliveries/collections, managing customer accounts,stock management, cost control, overseeing health and safety and merchandising initiatives;
Recruitment and training of counter staff enabling them to realise their potential;
A UPVC window background is essential and candidates should have experience working in a busy trade counter environment.
Strong track record in depot/branch management within the building/construction supplies sector is essential.
Excellent people management, rapport building and communication skills.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, target orientated, proactive in approach and have great commercial acumen.
A confident IT user. A valid driving licence is essential.
