A growing, well established and successful firm of chartered accountants, based in Bristol, is searching for a Semi Senior / Senior accountant, to join their close knit team, in a key role, offering technical skill development and career progression. Description

The directors are looking to bolster their team, with an additional experienced Semi Senior / Senior, AAT qualified, and/or ACCA/ACA studying, or suitably experienced only professional. The role offers the chance for progression to Senior level and beyond in this role, with increasing responsibility and client contact on offer, as you develop in the firm and role. The firm acts for varied sole traders, partnerships and limited company, SME, OMB and other clients up to around £2million turnover on largest clients. As well as preparing accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts and payroll responsibilities, the directors are looking for the right person who can develop in this team and look at add value to their clients. For example, with the changes in new reporting procedures and financial statements occurring in due course, you will develop understanding of the changes in disclosures and impact of this for clients and help with these transitions. You will get involved in other, wide ranging work as well , for example setting up new clients and start ups on Sage 50 and advising clients, building relationships, working with the directors, in a role where you can progress and develop in your career It offers a superb opportunity to join a small, growing and close knit team of accounting professionals, carving a key role in this team and progressing in level, responsibility and technical skill knowledge. The directors are also very open to the prospect of supporting further study for ACA or ACCA and can discuss this, with the right candidate.

Profile

To be suitable for this Semi Senior / Senior role, you may be any of the following: AAT qualified, and/or, ACCA/ACA studying, or a suitably experienced only, accountant. Most importantly and as a necessity, the right candidate will have at least 3 - 4 years or more, experience in the accountancy practice sector, working for an accounting firm of any size, preparing accounts, ideally to review stages, for mixed industry sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, along with other responsibilities across tax, bookkeeping, payroll etc. You may have experience working on smaller end clients up to the 100's of thousand in turnover, and/or have experience, working on larger clients as well, up to £1 - £2/3 million in turnover. The firms utilises Sage 50 and Digita, so any experience in this will be welcome, along with training for those not familiar with this software.

Job Offer

Circa £24,000 - £28,000 dependent on the background and experience of the right candidate, plus benefits, negotiable.
