Chef/Kitchen Manager

Due to a change in ownership, we have an exciting opening for a Chef/Kitchen Manager to work in a fast moving kitchen at a river based bar and venue on the Thames in Oxford.

We are looking for an organised individual who can run a busy kitchen serving fresh locally produced food together with simply prepared dishes.

The venue is a popular spot for weddings, concerts and events and the cook will be responsible for producing a simple but quality led menu.

With the assistance of an efficient team you will need to be able to provide catering for up to 400 people when required.

Duties include:

Calculating food required for events and bar ensuring that levels are sufficient.

Creating seasonal menus which are both attractive to the customer and easy to execute in a timely fashion.

Organising kitchen assistants in an efficient operation including, prepping serving and training junior staff.

Experience required:

Must have worked in a fast moving kitchen,

Will possess high hygiene standards and knowledge

Have a flexible and willing approach

Must be a team player.

Must be able to work weekends.

Hours are flexible but weekend availability is essential
