Duties and Responsibilities:
The Company require a pro-active IT Technician with an aptitude for communication and interest in Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Windows.
This role will be initially to provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line (this level depends on skill sets) Telephone Helpdesk and Field support to internal and external customers and to ensure we meet Service Targets and Service Levels.
Main duties will include:
To assist in the implementation of projects or other technical services when requested.
To visit customer sites and fix support call as required.
Follow standard working practices
Provide Helpdesk technical support to customers
Log, Analyse and fix support cases, escalating as required
Complete a Needs Analysis when necessary
Provide technical recommendations
Regularly update cases on the system
Regularly update customers of case statuses
Build PC’s and configure other equipment and software
Install PC’s and other equipment and software
Provide User Orientation training
Update the asset database
Write and maintain procedures
Follow assigned procedures
Set up email and user accounts
Liaise with 3rd party suppliers
Provide analysis and research for new services when requested
Assist on the implementation of projects and new tech services
You should have GCSE Maths & English at C or above and 3 or 4 other subjects at least. You will have enjoyed school, and you’ll be ready for a new learning environment in the world of work.
Any interest in one or some of the following is important; trouble shooting, Computer repairs, computer hardware, Microsoft Programs.
You will need a good eye for detail with a view to improving results on a daily basis.Training to be provided
You will be enrolled onto the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. You will work towards gaining the Microsoft certifications MTA Cloud Fundamentals, MTA Network Fundamentals, ITIL Foundation and CompTIA A+.
This apprenticeship is delivered remotely via a live virtual classroom using the very latest Microsoft technologies.
These qualifications are globally recognized industry certifications and form the significant building block of IT knowledge for anybody looking to start a career in IT. ANT INFORMATION
Weekly Wage: £135 Per week - £7,020 Per Annum
Daily Working Hours: Monday – Friday – 9.00am – 6.00pm with 1 hour Paid Lunch.
