Person Specification for PMLD Primary Teacher
The school are looking for a talented PMLD Primary Teacher who has some experience of teaching children whose barrier to learning include complex issues, mild to moderate learning difficulties and medical needs, and has achieved a 'Good' or better record from observations in the classroom. The school needs a PMLD Primary Teacher who has a talent for diffusing difficult or testing situations, using a positive attitude and clear head to achieve the best possible outcomes. You must show the ability to empathise with pupils who have complex learning requirements and maintain a positive attitude while working with PMLD learners.
About the PMLD Primary Teacher Role
The school has a reputation for exceptional CPD opportunities and all-inclusive training that can help even the most accomplished teachers progress further. The role of PMLD Primary Teacher will see you taking over a class within KS1 or KS2 based on demand within the school and depending upon your experience in working with learners with complex social, physical and learning needs. Each class will have no more than 8 pupils and will be made up of pupils who experience similar needs and barriers to learning. Each class will have an HTLT and 2 teaching assistants to support your teaching.
