Growing Automotive Manufacturer in Redditch now seeking a Quality Engineer to join them

A growing Automotive supplier who have a fantastic reputation both locally and with their customer base. This company specialises in the supply of plastic moulded parts to major Tier 1 Automotive companies as well as leading OEM's. Now due to a number of internal changes the company is seeking a dynamic Quality Engineer with great communication skills to join them in a role which offers great variety.
Your new role
Reporting into the Quality Manager and working with a team of 8 Quality staff you will take responsibility for a range of tasks both internally and externally. You will be tasked to complete internal audits whilst also communicating quality issues effectively externally, with both suppliers and customers. You will work closely with inspection and production staff whilst carrying out process audits in order to find Quality improvements. Additionally you will be tasked to raise internal 8D's whilst also being able to take part in and lead external 8d investigations. This is a wide and varied role with a range of responsibilities however you will work closely with a close-knit team who will assist you in many areas.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role it is of most importance that you have previous experience as a Quality Engineer, ideally within the Automotive Industry. Furthermore if this experience is within a Plastic Injection Moulding environment that would be hugely advantageous however this is not essential. Along with this experience you will have experience of working with both internal quality teams and external customers. A strong knowledge of PPAP's, APQP, control plans and 8D's would also be beneficial for this role.
