Are you currently in recruitment, media sales or some other type of consultative client facing business development role - but ready for a change in sector? We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Consultant to work for the UK market leaders in location planning, customer, and market analysis. They are offering a competitive basic salary of of £25,000-£32,000 and an excellent uncapped commission structure, with Salespeople often hitting 150% of their sales target and regularly achieve commission of 5% of net sales.

An opportunity exists for a degree educated new business salesperson with a proven track record to join this growing team as we expand into new markets. The salespeople are well-supported by pre-sales consultants who are experts in their field. This means it is a driven, energetic and consultative sales person we seek with well-developed sales and commercial skills. The role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop consultancy sales skills in a professional organisation.

In this role the successful candidate will sell a range of SaaS products, data solutions, and consultative market analysis.

The essential functions of the job include all aspects of the sales process, including:

? New business development
? Prospecting & networking to create a pipeline of business
? Work with our pre-sales consultants to show the benefits of our consultancy and software solutions
? Present effectively and write clear, convincing proposals
? Discuss market issues knowledgeably and demonstrate understanding of relevant commercial sectors
? Engage multiple stakeholders in the sales process.
? Negotiate and close business to exceed sales targets.

Core Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required:

? Self-starter, self-disciplined, results driven and highly energetic
? The ability to source leads and expand the sector through their own efforts
? A 'hunter' with a proven ability to proactively generate new business
? A demonstrable track record of high sales performance
? The ability to absorb complex solutions and present them with simplicity; understand technical information and think laterally to deliver a variety of solutions
? Excellent relationship building skills
? Able to manage and support client organisations at all levels
? A real attention to detail
? A very good communicator, who is outgoing and confident and can be effective in a business meeting with senior people.
