C / C++ Developer - Derivatives


This is an exciting opportunity to join a large investment bank in the city, working on a wide range of in-house trading software, responsible for the development of numerous important business systems! Our client are looking for an experienced C++ Developer to join their team, following detailed business requirements to assist in the completion of high-importance projects.


The chosen candidate will work within the organisation's development team in London, alongside their overseas team and be involved in improving and integrating internal software with third party products. Being part of the full development life-cycle, including the design, production, development and support, you will also be asked to improve upon current existing systems, ensuring smooth operation and full reliability. It will also be essential to report on and document all stages of development.


You will be in charge of completing your own Quality Assurance, liaising with one of their overseas offices as well as a wide range of BAU duties.


Due to the nature of the market, and the existence of their overseas offices, this role will require you to work non-standard hours semi-regularly.


To be considered for the role, you will need the following skills and/or experience:


  • Strong C / C++ development experience (preferably in the financial industry)

  • Strong knowledge of derivatives

  • High proficiency with C#

  • High proficiency with SQL Server 2012

  • A strong familiarity with database design principles.


The following would be very advantageous


  • Visual Studio

  • Subversion

  • Google Test Framework

  • MS Test Unit

  • Algorithms

  • Experience dealing with users and gathering requirements

  • A good understanding of financial markets / investment banking products.

  • A relevant IT degree (Computer Science would be preferred)
