Are you a Technical Architect or Lead Developer hankering to join a hugely progressive technology-led firm delivering a comprehensive redesign of their enterprise-scale web systems? Are you up-to-speed with theories and principles surrounding software development, such as microservices, design patterns, SOA, and perhaps TOGAF?

As a Technical Architect in this firm you will be designing n-tier applications which are consumed across desktop, mobile and tablet - this role is a new addition to the Architecture team.

This company are really accessible to the Peak District, an hour's drive from Manchester in the north and Birmingham to the south, and also close to South Cheshire, Shropshire and Derbyshire. If you live further afield we can offer a generous relocation allowance.

Salary is to £75k. There's a car, annual bonus and pay review, 25 days' holiday, gym membership and pension included in the benefits.

You will have remained close to the code in this Architect role. You'll have a good appreciation of security best practices, will have created software development standards and QA processes and, important, have the ability to remain calm when under pressure! In addition you will be a mentor, trainer and educator to the Development Team.

It's a largely Microsoft-based environment (C# ASP.NET MVC) with raw JavaScript, HTML5, CSS4, JQuery though they are also exploiting open source and different technologies which aid performance, scalability and robustness, such as functional programming languages, Riak and other NoSQL systems.
