Accounts Assistant - ContractAn opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to work with a central finance team to provide financial support. This is a maternity cover contract for up to 1 year.Job Details:-Maintain manual and computerised financial recordsMaintain the day to day operation of on-line financial systemsMake payments to suppliers on receipt of invoices received for payment Assist in the preparation of financial reports when required and the preparation of reconciliationsBanking duties Prepare VAT returns and paymentsPrepare the bank reconciliationAssist the Finance Manager in the preparation, completion and submission of various reportsEnsure all month-end procedures and reconciliations are completed on a timely and accurate mannerExperience required - Prior experience of working in a related role within a financial environmentKnowledge of procedures for updating finance systems, processing orders and invoicesLedger work and banking processes knowledge essentialOther information:-- 1 year fixed term contract- 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday- 16-20k per annum- 25 days holiday plus public and bank holidays- Start date ASAP- Free parking
