£34,000 - £40,000 per annum +Company car / allowance £4,620 per annum

Job Description

We are recruiting for three Estimators for our client across sites in Reading and along the M4 corridor.

Working a 9 day fortnight Monday - Friday between 07:45-16:30 (16:15 on Fridays)

Job Purpose: To form part of the Projects Team in meeting Budget Targets and company objectives

Person Specification:

Qualifications and Experience:

*Educated to HNC/HND Standard (or equivalent).

*Extensive experience within the FM Industry.

*Excellent management experience.

*Good IT Skills to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Principal Accountabilities:

*To manage the bid and resource co-ordination process involving both direct and indirect staff management.

*Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements.

*To have industry knowledge to keep abreast of competitors methodologies.

*Provide information and prepare and compilation of proposal submissions including solution and option appraisal of new methods of Project delivery to identify valid and viable commercial delivery options.

*Proactive approach to the continuous improvement in communications, management procedures and systems to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiencies.

*Management of the implementation of 'best practice' arising from consultation and liaison with external bodies and other EFS divisions.

*Management of the implementation of common practice across the account to ensure meaningful commercial and operational datum's are established.

*Use of EMCOR BMF Estimating package / system to verify validity of bids.

*Obtaining specialist subcontractor costs.

*Read and understand the client requests / documentation.

*Formulate bid based on BDM brief where required.

*Labour loading of asset information.

*Attend site visits as required across the account as part of the bid process.

*Assist in the production of correspondence and documentation.

*Update Pipeline Reporting System and to contribute, to the generation of BD Management information reports.

*Attend Divisional Bid Meetings as required.

*Progressing submitted tenders.

*Assist in formulation of tender returns.

*Establishing agreed benchmarks for performance.

*Measurement of performance versus contracted requirements.

*Identification of a broad range of cost saving initiatives in line with contractual obligations.

*Interactions with client organisations as required, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information.

*Other duties as directed by the Commercial Manager.

To undertake all duties and responsibilities, including relevant training and medicals, as deemed necessary for working in radiological and explosive controlled areas.
