Accounts Assistant - Contract

An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to work with a central finance team to provide financial support.

This is a maternity cover contract for up to 1 year.

Job Details:-

Maintain manual and computerised financial records
Maintain the day to day operation of on-line financial systems
Make payments to suppliers on receipt of invoices received for payment
Assist in the preparation of financial reports when required and the preparation of reconciliations
Banking duties
Prepare VAT returns and payments
Prepare the bank reconciliation
Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation, completion and submission of various reports
Ensure all month-end procedures and reconciliations are completed on a timely and accurate manner

Experience required -

Prior experience of working in a related role within a financial environment
Knowledge of procedures for updating finance systems, processing orders and invoices
Ledger work and banking processes knowledge essential

Other information:-

- 1 year fixed term contract
- 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
- 16-20k per annum
- 25 days holiday plus public and bank holidays
