Client / Account / Commercial Manager (Calibration Services - Home Based) required immediately for a permanent position to cover UK and Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity, with long term security to join a company which is part of a group of international companies. The candidate will ideally be based in the Midlands or Glasgow area with good access to transport networks. Working Mon - Fri days.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Operations Director, working from home the successful candidate is responsible for sales and revenue generation.

The successful Client / Account / Commercial Manager day to day duties will include:

- Direct management of customer accounts
- Regular travel to key accounts in the UK and Ireland.
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Setting prices and negotiating customer discounts
- Quotations for new and repeat calibration business
- Promotion of company's services at industry meetings and exhibitions
- Management of NHS and 3rd-party tenders
- Preparation of sales budgets and forecasts
- Accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and opportunities
- Regular liaison with field and lab engineers to identify new business opportunities
- Regular liaison with sales managers of sister companies to maximise sales lead referrals for replacement equipment.

To be suitable for this Commercial / Client Manager role you must have the following experience / characteristics:

- Recent experience of promoting products and / or service packages to a wide range of customers, preferably gained from a background in engineering with recent sales responsibility.
- Highly self-motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team and show leadership qualities
- Experience of selling services / service packages
- Commercial awareness / strong negotiation skills
- Ability to prepare online tenders
- Excellent communication skills - verbal / written / presentation
- Confident in front of customers with the ability to develop good working relationships.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn quickly
- Preparedness to travel and stay away from home as required and at short notice
- Good geographical knowledge
- Full UK driving licence, ideally with no more than 3 points.
- Educated to HNC or higher qualification in a relevant Electrical / Electronic engineering discipline.

The ideal Commercial / Business Manager will have the following experience / characteristics:

- Educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant Electrical / Electronic engineering discipline.
- Understanding of electronics / diagnostic equipment - preferable engineering background with sales experience
- Appreciation of calibration, National Standards, traceability, UKAS and ISO9001
